Shooting boxing Saturday, I really had to jam on editing, chimping my shots in between rounds, and not really able to look too closely at images beyond the obvious.

Abner Mares celebrates his win over Joseph Agbeko during Saturday's rematch.
OK, so one of my two favorite shots of the night is kind of obvious, it’s Abner Mares reacting to hearing he won his rematch against Joseph Agbeko after winning the first under what was termed “poor officiating.” It’s not a perfect shot, but it tells a story.

But when I saw this shot of Jose Silveira in his corner across from me at the start of his fight, for some reason he made me think of Charlie Chaplin in “City Lights.” When he was standing there in his corner, you couldn’t see his team and he looked like he was there to fight alone, he had some secret, noble reason to be there in the ring. I have no idea whether that may be the case, the fight was actually pretty lame, but when I was going through my take from the night (which was more than 3,000 photos), it was this image and only one other that stopped me long enough to take a closer look.
